A very common question we receive from potential clients is: ‘what is the difference between a conservatory and an orangery?’.
Although they aesthetically look similar, there are some major differences between the two structures. Our bespoke hardwood orangeries tend to be built with more brickwork and usually include a solid roof with a lantern installed in the centre. We have many case studies on our news page that show examples of this. Conservatories on the other hand are mainly glass structures with a glass roof and minimal brick. The orangeries we construct complement our clients homes and blend with the original as more of an extension, as opposed to conservatories that are more of a stand-out garden room due to the large amount of glass involved.
Our very experienced sales representatives guide our clients through the whole project from concept to completion. We also regularly consult our customers on all building regulations and planning permission if necessary.
Our sales representatives work hard with our clients to ensure all of their instructions and needs are understood correctly before producing drawings for the proposed project. The sales visit and consultation stage is essential in understanding our clients ‘wish lists’ and making certain that we are recognizing their requirements.
